Hey! I play a brand new session recorded for me by Beatnik Filmstars in my October show for Dandelion Radio - The online radio station inspired by John Peel! That's Four Beatniks tracks, including a mystery cover version.
This month's show commemorates the fifth anniversary of the great man's passing, every other track is one which John (& probably only John) played at least a few times on his BBC Radio 1 show.
To listen, go to our website at dandelionradio.com and click on one of the "Listen Live" links on the front page.

Loving the "rockumentary"! Can't wait to see the whole thing.
You'll have to do a special night at The Cube showing the film and playing a set. I will be available for DJing and selling ice-creams during the interval.
Thank you so much. Your set was so brilliant last night it really was one of the best gigs, we were mightily impressed. And for doing Galaxy 500's 'The 4th of July' on the 4th of July was absolutely amazing, we loved it. it really was very special. Your ace! XX Matthew and Heather

Hey Niks, Ive been thinking about the opening line in Purple Fez about "racists is the USA branding their cattle with swastikas". I don't believe you could brand your cattle with a swastika because every brand has to be state approved, and you have to pay for/choose a brand through the state. You can't just make a brand up anymore. And you also have pay a yearly fee. When you sell a cow you cannot do so until the state brand inspector has visited, check your cows are in good health, and checked that you own the brand for the cows you are trying to sell. I cannot imagine a swastika could be a state approved brand. I have access to a book of all the current brands in use Arizona so I can check for sure, at least in Arizona. But I think its highly unlikely - and, who would buy a cow with a swastika on it? I wondered where the inspiration for that lyric came from? Loving the new 7inch and Nervous Rex StewXXX
