Glen Echo Entertainment is the name of my company. Its name is derived from Glen Echo Park in Glen Echo, Maryland. Glen Echo is the name of the town in BEHIND THE MASK over which Leslie Vernon is about to unleash his brand of terror...
BEHIND THE MASK: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon's Interests
General
Philosophy's my favorite. Krishnamurti, Neitsche. Some newer guys: Heidegger, and Campbell, of course. And I stay up on the classics - Socrates, Aristotle, Voltaire. I don't care for Diogenes too much, but he had some good ideas. But, the REAL troublemaker was David Hume. LOVE him.
Music
Like me, my buddy Venice Maki (he grew up right outside Glen Echo) is also on the cusp of something great! He was kind enough to lend me music (check out Venice Maki's MySpace page) as well as my favorite band, Talking Heads, the classic Ray Noble Orchestra, and the next great film composer, Gordy Haab!

Television
I really love the ABC show, "Invasion". There's something about the one-armed deputy on that show that really reminds me of...myself.
Books
I read a lot of manuals and text books; most notably, Gray's Anatomy, The Physician's Home Desk Reference, Harvard Medical Anthology, The Psychology Of Fear, Instinctive Panic Response (group dynamics, behavioral sciences). It all helps me understand how a person will react in any number of situations.
Heroes
My heroes, other than my mentor, Eugene, are Freddy Kreuger, Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees, Leatherface, Pin Head, Chucky and Candyman.
BEHIND THE MASK: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon's Blurbs
About me:
Hey there! My name is Leslie Vernon.
On the surface I guess I'm like your average, small-town, nice guy with goals, ambition and aspirations to... follow in the footsteps of my mentor, Eugene, and be the world's next great psycho-slasher.
I confess I'm a self-promoter. I've given documentary filmmaker Taylor Gentry and her crew exclusive access to my life as I intricately plan and execute my reign of terror over the sleepy town of Glen Echo, (where my legend was born). Along the way, I'll teach them the trade of being a psycho-slasher and I'll deconstruct the conventions and archetypes of the genre of horror over which I hope to reign.
-- Robert Englund Interviewed by Joe Escalante courtesy of Indie 103.
THE CRITICS ARE RAVING...
"First-time director (and co-writer) Scott Glosserman gleefully hacks up horror cliches to deconstruct the genre with carnivorous, lip-smacking delight."
-- Michael Ordona, LOS ANGELES TIMES
"A poke in the eye of genre convention with a flensing blade and a disarmingly charming razor-blade grin."
-- Marc Savlov, AUSTIN CHRONICLE
"It's a must for those who like thrills laced with a sense of humor."
-- Elizabeth Weitzman, NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
"The dialogue has wit, and the rug gets pulled out from under us and the characters in several short, sharp jolts."
-- Ty Burr, BOSTON GLOBE
"...actors Nathan Baesel and Angela Goethals give brilliant performances."
-- Stephen Hunter, WASHINGTON POST
"This film comes across at its best as the love child of Wes Craven and Christopher Guest."
Who I'd like to meet: Survivor Girls, mostly. The girl's the KEY. However, she's got to have a supporting cast, moving in a concentric circle around her. Together they all fit a certain group profile. I'm looking for the right girl with the right group.

This is a great film.Scott Glosserman did a good job writing & directing.I would love to be an extra or cast member in one of his movies. What a good horror classic!
Thanks for adding me! I bought it the day it came out and I've watched it a million times. You just covered it all! Love it! If you ever need a 6'9" killer, let me know!
I just ehard of the possibility of a sequel being done. I hope this does happen since this film was one of the best and orginal horror films I have seen in the last 15 years along with Hatchet. Here is to seeing Nathan suit up as Leslie for round 2 with Angela's Taylor.
Thanks for adding me! I just wanted to let you know that I just posted a short story "Windows to the Soul" to my blog if you are interested in reading it.
Thanks for taking the time to add us on. You've got a cool page for an equally cool film. I just love how the story was set-up-very creative. Here's to a Happy Thanksgiving your way. Take care, -E
