In May ’09 Bellatrix was delighted to win first place in the official BBN Beatbox World Championships (female category). Having been pushing the female beatbox scene for some years, Bellatrix is arguably the first girl to ever really be on a par with the best males on the scene.
As well as having a clean and powerful sound, Bellatrix has the advantage of being a trained musician; she currently studies jazz at the world class Guildhall School of Music (one of the top conservatoires in Europe) where she majors on the double bass.
Having performed in prestigious venues, important cities and festivals all over the world, and worked with some top musicians from a span of genres Bellatrix is now focusing her attention on her new project, female vocal quintet the Boxettes. (see top friends)
