I live in Shanghai and do sound-related stuff, including designing audio for videogames, recording pop songs, installing sound installations, and performing experimental music. Most of my work uses Max/MSP to make generate and structure sound, often involving chance procedures and inspired by video games. I've performed quite a bit around China, at the Shanghai eArts Festival, the Zendai Museum, a couple of NOIShanghai shows, 2 Kolegas, D-22, Not Me, the 2Pi Festival in Hangzhou, Brainwave Communication, and RESO, with folks like Torturing Nurse, Yan Jun, Hong Qile, Walnut Room, and Wang Changcun.
Before moving to Shanghai in 2004, I lived in Seattle and did stuff with Seattle School (www.seattleschool.net) and Sound Currents (www.soundcurrents.org).
I've been doing videogame audio since 1996, including 7 years at Sierra, where one of my most fun projects was the soundtrack for Arcanum; I also worked on Leisure Suit Larry 7, King's Quest: Mask of Eternity, and Half-Life: Opposing Force, among others. I worked for Ubisoft Shanghai from 2004 to 2008 (which is what brought me to China in the first place), primarily as Audio Director of Tom Clancy's EndWar.
flood should be a) sung all in falsetto, b) have smatterings of timpanic and reverse symbol crescendos, and c) be cut down to 3 minutes. then you will claim the pop crown that you so vie for.

Ben is my coolest friend - which is impressive as I have a lot of cool friends...some of them are weird, which makes them cool, and some of them are on myspace, which means I can't speak ill...but he's cool - and you're cool for being on his site. I love him so much it hurts.
