I was brought up in Totnes, South Devon.. neatly nestled between the moors and the sea.
I travel lots, surf when I can, probably drink too much, definitely think too much, and at 22 still make irrational choices. I like the outdoors and the Autumn. I’m happiest at home with friends, and my favourite fruit would have to be a pear.
Musically I started playing and writing as a kid and it’s maybe the one thing that’s never changed. Mum was a big listener to all the greats- the likes of John Martyn, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones, Simon and Garfunkel, Donovan etc so that’s played a big part in my life (Dad was more of a Yes and Pink Floyd man). Our tape collection is pretty good:)
More recently I dropped out of University to play music full time and it’s been pretty funny so far. I’ve been really fortunate to support some artists I really admire.. I went to Europe with Xavier Rudd back in December 08, shared a stage with Brett Dennen this spring, and have been playing a few dates around Europe with Fink this summer.
So I thought I’d leave it at that really. Keep it short. Really hope you all enjoy the tunes on here..

I've just seen that you are going to be invited by Manu Katche ("papy" drummer) in his show on Arte (French-German TV) where Fink was too (as some unfamous people like ben Harper ..)
You were impressive once again in Paris last night. I was one of the guys who came only to hear you (sorry Brett). You seemed a bit nervous before the concert but you should know by now that the French audience does love you.. even when the guitar is not rioht ... but you played it anyway and gave the best you had.
What the author readers of this site may not know (if they haven't hear you in live) is that you definitely have a big respect for your public too. Your song selection is great (sadly still no "Keep your head up")

So sorry to arrive so late on Monday evening in Paris (saw half of your session) but the friends I brought with me loved you (more than Brett Dennen, don't tell him !) : so 2 fans more ! I was so happy for you cause I was not the only one at Le Café de la Danse who came just for you (you heard that too ?). Hope to see you soon for your own gig. Oh my god Ben, I really love your music! I am seriously considering coming to England to watch you play another time. Yeah I know, I'm a little crazy, haha! Did you know by the way that in groningen, there were two girls who came specially for you? They didn't even stay to watch Brett play... :) Well maybe I will see you soon..
