BEN KOLARCIK has always had a knack for making a good impression. Being born into a large family, he learned at a young age how to articulate and be heard. As early as middle school, he began singing and playing guitar. Soon after graduating high school, Ben began pursuing his career as a solo artist. His first independent album, self-titled "Ben Kolarcik" was released in 2001 drawing attention from industry executives for his progressive pop/rock style, and shortly after, was given the opportunity to perform both across the US and abroad. While in New Zealand, at the renowned Parachute Festival, Ben received a call from a major label in Nashville asking for a meeting. It was here that Ben was introduced to Justin Unger. The two artists collaborated, and in a matter of months, wrote and recorded "Across the Sky". In July of 2003, their eponymous debut album was released under Word/Curb/Warner Bros. records. This critically acclaimed duo performed all over the world, received a GMA Dove Award nomination, and toured for the next three (3) years alongside acts like Mark Schultz, MercyMe, and Michael W. Smith. Following the season of touring and travels, the next destination was the west coast. The move from Nashville to Los Angeles, CA happened in 2007. However, LA is not just home, but also where Ben serves as full time Worship Arts Pastor for Discovery Church and at the progressive young adult service, "The Vine" at Shepherd of the Hills Church. Most recently, BEN KOLARCIK has completed work on a brand new album with Producer, Adam Smith. Additionally, his worship songs have been featured on the "2008 SongSeeker" CD at the Saddleback Worship Conference and the "Top 20 Indie Worship" album released by IndieHeaven and Indelible Creative Group.
