Artiste polyvalent débordant d’une énergie et d’une joie de vivre contagieuses, Benoit Bourque fait la conquête du public depuis plus de 25 ans. Charismatique, exubérant, chaleureux, farfelu, agile, véritable bougie d’allumage, tels sont quelques-uns des qualificatifs fréquemment utilisés pour décrire ce câlleur d’expérience.
Musicien, danseur et chanteur, il a fait partie de différents groupes avec qui il a sillonné le circuit folk d’Amérique du nord et d’Europe : Éritage, Ad vielle que pourra, Hommage à Alfred Montmarquette, Bourque et Bernard, Matapat, Le Vent du Nord sont autant de formations qui ont pu bénéficier de ses talents et de son indéniable charisme.
Spécialiste de la danse traditionnelle québécoise, Benoit présente des ateliers-conférences sur le folklore québécois et enseigne dans de nombreux camps et festivals, mettant en valeur son étonnante maîtrise de la gigue et des osselets (c'est une tradition de famille: son père et son grand-père étaient aussi des joueurs d'os).
Membre fondateur du Carrefour mondial de l’accordéon de Montmagny, il y est présentateur des spectacles extérieurs au Parc de la Mairie et des concerts en salle depuis une quinzaine d’années.
Artiste sélectionné pour le programme La Culture à l’école, partenariat entre le Ministère de la Culture et des Communications et le Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec, programme qui permet aux jeunes de niveaux préscolaire, primaire et secondaire un accès aux arts et à la culture

Depuis novembre 2008, il est membre de La Bottine Souriante.
A versatile artist overflowing with energy and a contagious joie de vivre, Benoit Bourque has been winning the public over more than 25 years. Charismatic, exuberant, warm, funny, limber, band’s sparkplug are a few words to describe him.
A musician, dancer, singer and caller, he has been a member of different bands with whom he toured extensively in North America and in Europe : Éritage, Ad vielle que pourra, Hommage à Alfred Montmarquette, Bourque et Bernard, Matapat, Le Vent du Nord, are all bands that enjoyed his talents and his exceptional charisma.
Specialist of Quebec tradionnal dances, Benoit has presented lectures and workshops in many camps and festivals, showing his skill in step dancing and bones playing (wich is a family tradition: his dad and grandad were both bones players).
A founding member of Le Carrefour mondial de l’Accordéon, in Montmagny (Québec), he emcees both the outdoor concerts at Parc de la Mairie and the night concerts at the concert hall since 15 years.
Selected artist for the ‘’Artists in School’’ Program, a partnership in between the
Ministère de la Culture et des Communications and the Ministère de l’Éducation du Québec, this program gives an oportunity to youg students from pre-elementary, elementary and high school students to have an access to arts and culture.
