Beyond Within was formed in the spring of 2002 by founding members Chris Finlay and Paul Larochelle. After customary line-up changes, the band currently consists of

Chris Finlay (lead, rhythm guitar)
Matt Hvidsten (drums)
Brandon "Shay" McCann (bass)
The band has been working relentlessly for the last seven years sculpting and perfecting their unique sound, which takes from all genres of heavy music. Persistent practice has greatly improved the skills of each individual member, making the band's presence more intense and unified than ever.
Beyond Within has played well over 100 live shows, sharing the stage with notable acts such as: Napalm Death, Behemoth,Decapitated,Kataklysm,Beneath the Massacre, Skinless, All That Remains, 3 Inches of Blood, Krisiun, Cryptopsy, Carnifex , Belphegor, Ensiferum, Kalmah, Cattle Decapitation, Psyopus, Rotting Christ, Throwdown, Necronomicon, Neuraxis, Quo Vadis, Martyr, The End, Ion Dissonance, Winter Solstice, Misery Index, Despised Icon, Catamenia,Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, Coliseum, Threat Signal ,Priestess ,Anvil and many more.
With the 2009 recording of Torn Soul being the best showcase of their abilities, but is simply a glimpse of what the future holds for Beyond Within.
Beyond Within is working diligently on new material for their next full length release in 2010, be prepared!
