___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ For 15 years Big Boy Bloater's energetic blends of Boogie Woogie, Jump Blues and Rock & Roll has thrilled audiences far and wide. His six-piece band boasts savage guitar, blues shouter vocals, pounding piano, honking and screaming saxes and a rhythm section like an express train - they just can’t fail to entertain! Big Boy Bloater’s blues shouter voice has been compared to the likes of Big Joe Turner, Howlin' Wolf, Wynonie Harris & Fats Domino and his wild guitar style is heavily influenced by the early sounds of Ike Turner, Johnny 'Guitar’ Watson, Mickey Baker and BB King......................................................................................................................................................As well as touring all over Europe, the USA & Canada, Big Boy Bloater has made numerous TV and Radio appearances - highlights being a week as the house band on Channel 4’s Big Breakfast (when it used to be good!), a live session and interview on Canada’s top morning TV programme Montreal Today;, two sessions for Paul Jones Radio 2 Rhythm & Blues Show and live sessions at BBCs Maida Vale studios and interviews with Mark Lamarr on BBC Radio 2.............................................................................................Big Boy Bloater has built up an enviable reputation as one of Britain's leading 50's style guitarists and singers. Growing up in a house filled with music Bloater started learning guitar at a very young age and had been playing professionally for years by the time he founded Britain's leading 50's R'n'B band, Big Boy Bloater and his Southside Stompers at the tender age of 21. ................................................................................................Bloater has toured with many leading musicians and played in some of the most famous venues in the World. He has played guitar for some real legends of 50's music including Lloyd Price, Jimmy McCracklin, Rosco Gordon, Joe Houston, Big Jay McNeely, Nappy Brown, Tommy Brown, Lazy Lester, Young Jessie, Big Al Downing, Billy Lee Riley, Frankie Ford, The Cleftones, The Teenagers, Jimmy Cavello, Hardrock Gunter, Wanda Jackson, Frankie Miller, Chuck Rio, Marvin & Johnny, The Eldorados, The Bobbettes, The Del Vikings, H-Bomb Ferguson, Hal Singer, The Medallions, Roy Gaines, Shirley Gunter, The Five Keys, Warren Storm, Hayden Thompson, Eddie Bo and Ray Sharpe as well as modern artists such as Diz Watson, Kenny 'Blues Boss' Wayne, Lil Rachel and he led the band backing Imelda May on her first ever UK appearance..........................................................................................................................................................As well as his showcase 6-piece band, Bloater also fronts a 4-piece Chicago style blues band - The City Shakers - featuring the legendary Laurie Garman on harmonica. He also has the honour of being the band leader for the much-lauded Rhythm Riot Kings of Rhythm, a showcase band of the finest R&B musicians in the UK today.

DEVILS CREEK: Bullfrog Blues

"Here's something a bit different. These guys are heavily influenced by Rory Gallagher, Status Quo and early 70's British bluesy hard rock. They've got a great groove in the rhythm section, a fine guitarist in Guy Rosewall, and their album 'Bullfrog Blues' is recommended! The album includes a rockin' take on Rory's "Seven Days". Definitely not another SRV clone"

"The band is driven beautifully by Terry Brown on drums and Tim Chapple on bass, the latter laying down a stomping beat on every number.......... on the showing of this album I would strongly recommend them" (Ian McKenzie - Blues In The South).

“The old Ten Years After classic Hear Me Calling suits Guy's heavy rock sound the best, and its the guitar sound that has a strong influence..... Guy's own foray into songwriting shows some interesting invention, particularly on the Family Song - good old 70's rock really. The others - Dead Man Walking, Poor Boy and Shadow City are built more on solid riffs, but Guy's also put in some worthwhile lyrics and not wasted the opportunity with rock cliches.... There's some worthwhile material in there" (Al Tait - Blues Matters)
