Billy Anne Crews has played music since she remembers being alive. Billy was born in Waukegan, IL and raised in Chattanooga, TN. While most kids were out doing what they do, Billy was in her room listening to records and studying the lyrics. Decades of piano lessons and a music degree later, Billy still just wanted to plug in a guitar and write songs.
Even though she played several instruments over the years, Billy really loved singing and writing lyrics the most. 80s and 90s indie rock had a big influence on Billy's songwriting, but so did many singer/songwriters that she loved so well. Known as the Southern Grunge Chick, she continues to play her unique style of music in the Americana genre. She has played clubs in the US and England.
