blackheart society since it's inception in 2005 was created and led by ben fleming...from a hundred open mic nights playing acoustic and harmonica he assembled a 3 piece band that played anywhere from country psychadelic to 80's new wave and blues driven guitar...through ups and downs blackheart society has been his live band playing loud rock n roll the way he interprets it... many musicians have come and gone in the band but ben' s vision is still clear as a cloudy day and the occasional thunderstorm....music is his religion....the ritual of playing live music is his life ambition...he discovers the music he hears in his head and puts it together in the "real" world as best as he can...so far all his music has been self released... living the true starving artist lifestyle...you can check out his solo page for more experimental sounds and his own recordings self made on 4 track and 8 track devices... currently ben is looking for new musicians to form a new sound along with seb...
