Formed on the 05/06/07 after a joke between guitarists and singers glen and tom (who never really liked each other)
glen and artur played together in dumbell until a punch up between them caused glen to quit and join the cellophane suckers
tom and artur played together in nitrovolt until a punch up between them caused artur to quit and join molotow soda
Buddy, joined the band after they realised that his bass heavy hand could put up a good fight
somehow it all came together and after watching mel brooks classic Blazing Saddles the guys came up with the name Black Sheriff
They play school's out hard rock with punk rock influences that makes u wanna either grow your hair and pack out the orange lycra leggings or steal cans of beer and shave yourself a mohawk
First album came out in Feb 08 on high noon records and the next one's on the way!
Wenn sich zwei Gitaristen nicht ausstehen können, hauen sie sich entweder auf’s Maul, oder gründen eine Band. Im Falle von Black Sheriff entschieden sie Glen (Ex-Dumbell, Ex-Cellophane Suckers) und Tom (immer noch Nitrovolt) glücklicherweise für die zweite Variante.
Denn sie fanden einen Schlagzeuger , den beide noch weniger ausstehen können, und sind so endlich wieder mit Artur (Ex-Dumbell, Ex-Nitrovolt, immer noch Molotow Soda) vereint.
Erstaunlicherweise konnte das Trio Infernale sich auf einen Bassmann, Buddy (Ex News at Six, Ex Rausch, immer noch Perzonal War), einigen, von dem immer noch nicht klar ist, ob er überhaupt jemanden leiden kann . Nachdem die Sheriffs allerdings bei einer Saufschlägerei eine seiner schweren, basslastigen Rechten gekostet hatten war klar, dass auch dieser Mann verpflichtet werden muss.
Diese explosive Mischung aus langgehegtem, persönlichen Groll und gegenseitiger musikalischer Vergötterung schlägt sich natürlich brachial im Sound der Band nieder, so dass das Rock’n’Roll Publikum stets versucht ist, sich noch während des Konzertes entweder einen Iro zu scheren oder sich doch lieber spontan eine Metal-Matte zu züchten, um damit beim Gitarrensolo den Schweiß von der Bühne zu wischen.
Der Name Black Sheriff entstand übrigens , nachdem sich die vier den Mel-Brooks-Klassiker Blazing Saddles ansahen und die gesamte Band diesen Filmabend wie durch ein Wunder unbeschadet überlebte.
Das erste Album ist schon im Februar 2008 bei High Noon Records erschienen, und das nächste ist schon auf dem weg
