ABOUT BLACKSMITH
Blacksmith is a Heavy Metal band, with influences going from “Cream’s” Hard Rock to “Black Sabbath”, “Led Zeppelin” and the British metal wave, such as “Iron Maiden”, “Judas Priest”, ”Van Halen” and of course all of the hard & heavy metal scene from Hollywood like "Ratt", "Poison", "Motley Crue", etc... Thanks to this Blacksmith can give a powerful, dynamic and melodic sound to their own music. Up to this date, the band has had the opportunity to share the stage with international bands, such as Alianza (ex Rata Blanca from Argentina), the legendary Saxon (England), Angra (Brasil), Paul DiAnno (ex Iron Maiden), Children of Bodom (Finland), Rata Blanca (Argentina) on several occasions, Angeles del Infierno (Spain),Tierra Santa (Spain), Ratt (USA), WASP (USA) at the MMF (Monterrey Metal Fest) with band like Edguy, U.D.O, Vain Glory etc... and national acts like Luzbel, Transmetal, etc. aside from an extensive series of events in the local scene and the rest of the nation.
The band is born at the end of year 2001 when Alex Castro decide to form a band with the firm intention of keeping the metal beast alive… The band takes the decision of naming themselves BLACKSMITH, because of its “forger of metal” meaning, given that metaphorically speaking, the band’s goal is to forge Metal with a style of their own, thus making them the Blacksmiths of Heavy Metal….

ACERCA DE BLACKSMITH
Blacksmith es una banda de Heavy Metal, con influencias que van desde el Hard Rock de “Cream” pasando por “Black Sabbath”, “Led Zeppelin” hasta la ola Inglesa metálica como “Iron Maiden”, “Judas Priest” y toda la escena de hard & heavy metal de Hollywood como "Ratt", "Poison", "Moley Crue" etc... Gracias a estas Blacksmith logra dar un sonido potente, dinámico y melódico a su música. Blacksmith gana muy buena aceptación tanto en radio como TV. y con el público en general; a la fecha el grupo a tenido la oportunidad de compartir escenario con bandas internacionales como Alianza (ex Rata Blanca de Argentina), los legendarios Saxon (Inglaterra), Angra (Brasil), Paúl DiAnno (ex Iron Maiden), Children of Bodom (Finlandia), Rata Blanca (Argentina) en repetidas ocasiones, Ángeles del Infierno (España), Tierra Santa (España), Ratt (USA), WASP (USA) en el Monterrey Metal fest con bamdas como EDGUY, U.D.O, Vain Glory, etc.. y bandas nacionales como Luzbel, Transmetal, etc. Además de una larga serie de conciertos locales y en el interior de la republica.
La banda nace a finales del año 2001 cuando Alex decide formar una banda con la firme intención de mantener viva La Bestia del Metal.... La banda toma la decisión de autonombrarse BLACKSMITH, por su significado en español de “Herrero o forjador de metal”, ya que la tarea del grupo es forjar metafóricamente hablando el Metal muy a su estilo llevándolos a ser los herreros del Heavy Metal....
