An evening with Rochester's Blame Johnny! is always one to remember. Never satisfied with the one-dimensional nature of many rock 'n roll cover bands, this group of maniacs has created a mix of material that is guaranteed to entertain, enlighten, and even outrage. The sets are anchored with the rock sounds of days gone by - The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, you name it. There's always a nice mix of modern-day good stuff - The White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, even Gnarls Barkley. Then comes the tasty jump blues of long ago - expect some Elmore James and Lightnin' Hopkins, to name a few. Toss in a few nuggets from the good ol' days (The Zombies, The Monkees), a few old school new wave hits (REM, Talking Heads), some hard rockers (Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top), some punk (Bad Religion, The Donnas), and a beautiful dose of weird (Butthole Surfers, Ween, and even Dennis Leary).
