Heroes
My mom and dad. How they managed to NOT kill me as a teenager is a miracle in and of itself. My mom has been a source of strength and absolutely invaluable parenting advice. My dad really is my hero because he taught me how to live for myself and how to stay true to who I am. Not many people know, or even learn, how to do that and they get lost in society's sick wash of bullshit about how you should fit in...

To start with, please note that this profile is solely for the purposes of keeping in touch with friends, family, and for professional networking. I don’t use MySpace as a dating service. I probably don’t want to “Hook up” with you. Really. I also don’t want you to tell me how great I’d be at adult film. I’ll spam the message. Do I come off as a debased prostitute? I don’t think so, so move along. K, thnx, bye-bye!
If you’re looking to promote your band/music, want to make a professional contact, or you think I’m nifty and just want to chat - I’d love to hear from you. I really do enjoy meeting new people, I’m very social. I just don’t like be solicited for bullshit :) I’d especially like to meet anyone who shares similar interests or other single moms.
More About Me
I could write a novel here. Let’s just say I’ve had plenty of real life experiences that have taught me how to grow up.
I’m brutally honest and I do, in fact, have a conscience. Honesty is the door to truth. I like to have positive and realistic people in my life because I view myself as possessing such qualities. I adore people who have open minds and are not closed to new ideas, cultures, or ways of thinking. Respect is another big thing for me. You have to have it for yourself before you can have it for anyone else. Religions and spirituality fascinate me. I’ve always been interested in the many different ways that people connect to the Divine, by whatever manner they follow. I’m always respectful of this as long as my views are respected as well.
I love to BS about philosophy. Love. To. Different cultures and subcultures are a source of immense interest for me. Learning is something I avidly and aggressively continue to do on a daily basis. I think we pretty much shrivel up and die when our brains stop absorbing new things. I’m really horrified by people who are happy they are uneducated or that think it’s cool to be ignorant, arrogant, or stupid (and I’m horrified quite frequently, unfortunately). Knowledge IS power, don’t let anyone ever tell you differently.
My family and friends are thee most important things in my life - primarily, my son. He is just absolutely amazing. He is most certainly the best mistake that’s ever happened to me. Unplanned but happily welcomed and totally loved. I always knew I wanted children but I was leary of actually making that commitment. I was scared, actually, of giving up so much of my lifestyle, so much of my heart, not being with “Mr. Right”, and of course, all the time I‘d be losing. Since I gave up on waiting for the “Right Guy” (I was just ready to be a mom already!) and now that I see what parenting is ACTUALLY like, there is no such thing as “losing time” to the baby. Every sleep deprived moment is just wonderful. Watching him grow is both exciting and sad (“He’ll never be that tiny again”). My mother is absolutely crazy for my son, as are my sisters. My only wish is that my father could’ve lived long enough to be able to hold him. I know my dad is still with us in spirit but it just kills me that I didn’t have the chance to put his first grandbaby in his arms for him to hold. My father always has been, and always will be, my hero. My mother is a source of strength for me. My sisters are becoming more and more dear to me as we all get older. They inspire me. My friends are my extended family, in a sense. I love so fiercely and with such depth that I rarely have casual acquaintances. My friends become like sisters and brothers to me, each with a special place in my heart no matter how much time or distance passes between us. My spoiled-rotten kitties are kind of like my adopted bastard children…
I still don’t know what I want to do with my life. I want to do something that will be impactful and yet make me happy in the process. I have sooooo many different and varied interests, I don’t know which path to set my feet upon. What can I do to sustain my lifestyle and satisfy my personal and professional needs? I’m still exploring that.
So I'll be home for Christmas! If you will be in Oldsmar or around there, I am going to try and organize a little get together on the 23rd. I would love to see all the friends and fam I've been missing for so long. Don't know where yet. If moms is cool we may chill at my old house. Bring your selves, instruments, booze...
just so you know, austin, myself, and a good friend of mine are planning a shindig the day after christmas and you and gary are more than welcome to come up and celebrate with us! not to mention it would give me a reason to buy gary a christmas present :]
