About me:

As a kid, I only wanted to be one thing when I grew up--COOL. At the age of ten I discovered my parents' vinyl collection, and started growing my hair long by eleven. I smoked my first joint at twelve, got drunk for the first time at thirteen, and was in my first moshpit by fifteen. Then in my senior year at college, I was offered an internship at HIGH TIMES, and my life changed forever.

Over the past 15 years, my adventures with HT have taken me tons of exciting places, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Denver, Burning Man, Napa, Sedona, Barcelona, Mallorca, and of course Amsterdam, where I've attended the Cannabis Cup 14 times. I've had the opportunity to interview and party with models, directors, artists, movie stars, rock stars and porn stars. I've gotten invited to (or crashed) countless screenings, openings, photo shoots, parties, clubs and concerts. I've smoked weed with stoner icons like Snoop Dog, Jason Mewes, Cypress Hill, Ozzy Osbourne and Tommy Chong. And all of this just because of two magic little words: HIGH TIMES. That, my friends, is what the BBD--the Bigger, Better Deal--is all about.

To me, HIGH TIMES isn't just about pot--it's about personal freedom and the party lifestyle. Its about rebellion, indulgence and enlightenment: rebellion against not just fascist conservatives, but against political correctness and leftist hypocrisy as well; indulgence in not just marijuana, but in all forms of consciousness elevation, including sexuality, music, art, and various types of drugs; and enlightenment, meaning that our rebellions and indulgences are not done wantonly or for self-destructive purposes, but to gain new perspectives, glean wisdom through experience, to test and establish one's limitations, define one's own values, and make one's life as enjoyable as possible without causing harm to others. That's what being "cool" means to me.

I make no apologies for who I am or what I do, and neither should you. Be yourself, find your dream, and live the BBD. I'm just a regular guy who likes to get high, get laid and listen to great music just like anybody else, but thanks to HIGH TIMES I'm able to take it to the next level--and thanks to ALMOST INFAMOUS, you can come along for the ride.



I'm the Warlock of Weed, the Magus of Marijuana, the High Priest of HIGH TIMES--a 3rd degree Wiccan witch known as Lord Morningstar, a devoted disciple of Dionysus, Pan and Athena, a satyr, chaos mage, and all-around spirit of mischief. Into the classic sex/drugs/rock and roll type thing. Seeing live music is my life. I have about a 1000 books and 2000 cds, 2 cats and one amazing woman. I'm passionate and creative, intellectual and hedonistic, sensitive and sarcastic, pagan and poetic, calm, cool, collected and connected. My mind is a sponge, my skin a canvas, my heart a grenade, my eyes daggers. These are the things I hold sacred: Life, Love, Beauty, Truth and Freedom. Fate is the ocean, Destiny is my compass, Will my rudder, Passion my oar. Some day soon I will write a novel that will set fire to the sky and melt all the skyscrapers. And then I'll write three more.
