A puzzled, overweight man in an ill-fitting jacket playing songs with music by John Otway and lyrics pulled at random from back issues of the Radio Times.
Hello, my name is Bob Fischer and for the last ten years I've been trying to convince people that I'm 'working on an album', but nobody believes me. So I've put some music up on this thing just to prove it. All of these tracks were recorded in 2007 and 2008 with help from my good friends Benjamin Wetherill, Keith Howard, Garry Brogden, Miniature G and The Evil Sweeties. The album is nearly finished and is a mish-mash of vaguely amusing lyrics crowbarred into doo-wop and rockabilly songs with a few sea shanties thrown in for good measure.
I also put a four-track CD out in 2006, and you can still buy it from www.bobfischer.co.uk if you like.
I don't play live much these days, but I'm always open to offers, particularly if you can throw in a dark chocolate Kit-Kat as part of the deal. Mainly I talk between other peoples records on BBC Tees, oh and I wrote a book called 'Wiffle Lever To Full!' which is being published by Hodder & Stoughton. Hooray!
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.

Hey Bob! Hope you're just swell! So I've got a new song up that I wasn't allowed to call WIDDLE I ALWAYS THE WODDLE and instead had to boringly call it Wasn't I Always the One...
If you fancy, maybe you might have a listen. I've been suffering from a strange case of VERTIGO these past 2 days - everytime I moved my head the room span. It was pretty interesting trying to play to a room full of people when all I thought was happening was that I was sinking through the piano stool and through the carpet into the floor below. Who needs drugs hey? Inner ear troubles are the new rock and roll! xxx
Thee Strawberry Mynde are back at The Princess Alice, Newport Road, Middlesbrough, TS1 1LA on Friday 3rd October.
Also on the bill are Teesside Mod band Modern Works & Darlington punk band March Of The Dogs & The Mutiny. First band on stage at 9pm. Admission is FREE!
Dude can you believe this! I was playing at this little festival in Essex a couple of weeks ago and as I start playing a song in the middle of the set this guy walks right up and starts speaking to me on the stage... he's this great big biker and he's asking if I "do any more Victoria stuff?" and I nervously enquire as to what he means by 'Victoria' and he says "Wood!" and I say "wow, that's amazing but you realise that these songs are deadly serious and full of heartbreak and sadness?" and he just walks away saying "ahhh that's so funny". It was quite strange and I'm not sure either of us understood the other linguistically or on any kind of level!
Oh Bob, how nice that we are proper friends now! I'm enjoying your songs very much. And look, you are almost more nautical than me! I see you are playing Stockton Riverside on the 2nd. You should look out for a comedian there called Mat Reed. He's my sister's boyfriend and my ex housemate and GameCube buddy. xx
