About me:

Bob Peck is writing right now in third person and he's going to tell you about himself and his art from the last few years. He used to try and keep it classy and civilized, and say things like born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and some stuff about growing up in, and being involved in the 90's graffiti scene and transcending into abstract art as a result. He even did some stuff for people like Red Bull, The Gravity Games and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But that grows tired quickly... Bob is a mix of that guy you see at last call sitting alone, Pollock's temper, Basquiat's carefree nature, a guy who's about to rob a bank, and his alter ego named 'Lost'. From nice guy-art donater for good causes person, to screaming at the top of his lungs while running down the street with a can of spray paint madman, Peck has made his mark in Cleveland in one form or another. His work is all derived from his graffiti hay-days and in the last few years, has become increasingly gritty and some might say, slightly flawed compared to days past, which in his mind is finally embracing the true values of what he believes in. What once was sharp and flowing is now replaced by static layers and displaced lines. Reminders that nothing is perfect and nothing is permanent and should be treated as such. Much like the stacked layers of chipping paint he once painted on in the public eye, while trying to remain unseen, yet still achieve recognition. The flaws once came from fear and uncertainty, now they are placed with purpose. Bob Peck can also shoot lasers from his eyes and can withstand heats up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Actually, that whole sentence is a lie, and at best, a space filler. When not painting, Bob enjoys neurotically thinking about why he's not painting and how much of a failure he is because of it. Bob Peck...American painter, slayer of beasts, all around good dude.
