Bob Wolman fronts his highly acclaimed “The Bob Wolfman Band” The band consists of some of the most seasoned veterans available with bass, drums, multi keyboards + Hammond B3 organ, and a sax/horns section. Bob and his band perform an array of his original tunes and some very hot covers, always made hotter by his dazzling guitar work and gutsy vocals. Bob emphasizes background vocals with the band, sometimes three or four part harmonies richly enhancing a very tight instrumental performance. The band is a consistent crowd pleaser, always finishing the night with a return request from the audience and the venue alike.
This band promises to get your blood goin', and your soul inspired.
Bob Wolfman is an exciting and compelling performer with emotion and power to inspire even the most blasé listeners, chops and technical virtuosity to quiet even the most discerning critics. He has fun on stage and so do his audiences, always enjoying his explosive solos.
Bob loves many styles, but his preferred playing/performance genres are Jazz, Blues and Rock. Having played in every type of ensemble imaginable since the age of 13, (even a killer Latin/Salsa band for almost two years) he's an extremely versatile guitarist. Fronting his own band "The Bob Wolfman Band", Bob still performs regularly with a host of the finest musicians around on the East Coast. Much to the delight of his fans, he's just released his long awaited new CD – “The Howl”. Drawing from a wide array of styles, Bob has created a collection of songs that reflect his different influences, ranging from Rock, Jazz, Funk, Pop, and of course Blues.
"The Howl" is now available through Bob's website: www.wolfmans.com.
Throughout his career, Bob has performed with jazz giants like guitarist Larry Coryell (Jazz/Fusion pioneer), keyboard genius Chick Corea, sax great Grover Washington Jr.("Mister Magic"), John Payne(sax player with Van Morrison), Blues singer Toni Lynn Washington, Blues and Jazz Harmonica icon Mike "Turk" Richards, Bluesman James Montgomery, and many more over the last twenty years since his days at Berklee College of Music.
As well as performing, in 1980 Bob founded The Wolfman School of Music as an affordable alternative for those who seek high quality music instruction. For over 27 years Bob Wolfman has used his time tested method of simple but thorough, easy-to-follow lessens, custom-tailored for the student and taught step-by-step, to teach guitarists from all over the world from total beginners to advanced pros.
