Bio
Bones of Freedoms brand of “classic ‘psychedelic blues metal’ rock” drew its first sweet breath in Gothenburg Sweden in the autumn of 2007, when Scandinavian Hippies Pipes & McWeed hooked up British rocker Eddie Wolfe. Since then they have finely honed and exported their sound via the critically acclaimed Butterfly EP (released 2008) and World Domination 1 LP (released 2009). BOF have unleashed their material during their powerful live shows at dates in Scandinavia and UK . BOF hint at their varying musical influences including, but not restricted to, AC/DC, Janis Joplin & Hendrix via Clutch, Thin Lizzy and Led Zeppelin but they still manage to maintain their own musical blueprint and identity. This sound coupled with an eclectic mix of lyrical subject’s creates a heady mix of differing but always rocking tracks. From the blues of ‘Led Waters’ to the Metal of ‘The Wolf,’ Psychedelic sounds of ‘Ten’ and Classic Rock sound of Honey Bee, BOF refuse to conform to one sound or genre but prefer write songs from the heart. BOF have recently welcomed new drummer Nanne to the BOF multinational family and his inclusion is bearing great fruits and has added a new dimension to the band. BOF new line up is currently writing and recording material for their 2nd full length album titled (Got Wings) although they plan to take the new material out on the road and perform the songs live to allow them to grow organically prior to finally recording the album which should be ready for release spring 2011. Tasters of new material will appear over the coming months as rough demos at; www.myspace.com/bonesoffreedom -

REVIEWS AND COMMENTS, ."This is nothing less than classic hard rock, a band worth keeping an eye on!" Dennis Karlsson - SWEDEN ROCK MAGAZINE.. "If you are drawn towards 1970's rock you will love this" Penny Gowers – BLACK VELVET MAGAZINE.. "This will go in regular rotation on my iPod. I'm now an official Bones Of Freedom fan" John Covington – Rhino Bucket and Big Cock.. .. Bands around the world are finding, appreciating, and reviving the great styles which made rock and roll famous. Bones of Freedom is one band that makes this trend a serious and inspiring renaissance rather than simply a sleepy sentimentalism Craig Hartranft www.dangerdog.com.. BoF’s music definitely has a groove that’s heavily influenced by the blues, soul and classic rock. All the hallmarks of 1970s-era rock are here – deep juicy guitar grooves, loud bass riffs and driving drums. The influence of Zeppelin, Cream, Deep Purple are obvious, but none of them beats you over the head as BoF is not trying to be a sound-alike or copy band Hardrockhaven.net "no fillers just killers" www.merlinprog.com The thirteen songs on ‘World Domination 1’ are a mosaic of blues, soul and psychedelic music that cites to Led Zeppelin and Cream. Different tastes of rock are melted together in a delicious meal that will not get boring any time soon http://www.lordsofmetal.nl Bones of Freedom are an unapologetic classic rock band that brings to the table a collection of compositions that mix up psychedelic, bluesy rock and add just enough hippie sound to make the whole album worth playing over and again. Their well thought and composed lyrics match the great musicality of the band and have you listening just to hear a different view and thoughts on world events. With this combination of talent they are indeed set for a “World Domination” in rock music MaCavity MUEN Magazine.. BONES OF FREEDOM have abrogated all geographical barriers with the help of modern ways of communicating and delivered with “World Domination 1“a terrific album in the Hardrock / Rock genre. A catchy opus which will surely address many listener. To buy is duty! Hall of metal Claudia -
