About me:
A PARTIAL MANIFESTO, OF SORTS:
OK, so I've decided that rather than talking about myself I'd rather enumerate my friends and enemies. I'll tell you who my friends are, and you can tell me about myself. So there, allow me to be pretentious for a moment:
My friends are explorers, scientists, mad poets, musicians, artists, philosophers: all those who push at the boundaries, who spend their lives questing for knowledge and experience, who oppose borders, limitations, ignorance; those who know that fear may be conquered, but conscience, never; lovers of uncertainty and awareness, questers and experimentators; those that believe we can do better than this; those that live their lives in love with the Universe and all its strangeness.
My enemies are...ummm...the opposite of my friends: fascists, totalitarians and fundamentalists of any stripe, racists: small minds living in small universes trying to force others to abide by their rules; those on the side of ignorance, control, and mindless tradition; those drawing borders on our minds, maps and elsewhere; those certain that everything worth knowing has already been discovered; those that believe that we cannot improve on the past; those spending their lives in fear of the Universe and difference.
I also have a soft spot in my heart for zombies and werewolves but am not too fond of vampires.
