There arent many cars passing along Boulevard Pasteur. Each time this happens, a dark red cloud of dust lifts from the road. Standing next to the terrace of the lazy, a man lights a cigarette. Hes wearing dark womans glasses and a squared short-sleeve shirt. While he puts the lighter back into his pocket, he lifts his eyes towards Place de France. He lets his arms fall along his hips. The wind runs warm, almost imperceptible, through his messy hair. Someone cries something from an open air caf.., then bursts into laughs together with other people. The sea is calm. The man keeps his eyes fixed in front of him, then lowers them to his shoes. He smiles. Hed never thought hed get there, during his escape. An escape that, from where he stands now, will lead to something new, something he cant even imagine now. Something that smells like April and has the shape of magnolia flowers.
