Welcome and thank you for visiting MSP's main web page. MSP is the 209 based bounce funk outfit with a roots rock feel known as The Main Street Players. MSP has performed for the Black Oak Casino in Sonora along with more than 50 live performances from 07-08. The Stockton Record describes MSP as "The perfect soundtrack for a saturday night." and Lodi News Sentinel writes "They have a full, lush sound that reverberates in the gut, making it hard not to move with the music." MSP's release "We Will Kill you is featured in the top 50 (No. 33 as of July 11th 2009) alt. rock songs on Garageband.com, a website featuring unsigned artists from around the world.
A decade old grass roots relationship turned into MSP after Jay Orin and Jeff Frey began performing shows with Moses Martinez in the summer of 2006. The bass was switched between Jeff and Jay at live shows untill Dave Featherson joined in July of 07 as MSP's original bass player. The debut release “Melody and Movement” (10-13-2007) features this original lineup. You can pick it up on iTunes or CD Baby, also two unreleased scratch sessions are available to listen to or pick up on Nimbit (below).
The lineup has featured multiple talented musicians in the Ca. Central Valley from March to Nov. 08. Sicnce March 2008 MSP has been carried by the talent of the musicians listed here on this page. Thanks again for checking out The Main Street Players.

Why o why does anyone need a drummer? personally i love my beat machine, all ways shows up for recording and such.... but people would rather be watching a real person live, im not sure why.. anywho, i got a couple of projects that could use a drummer... if you know anyone..........
