  • Bio

Born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan, Braden is a small town kid with a big heart, a heart which he has stapled to his sleeve. He writes songs from the heart and delivers them with a unique performance that will leave you wanting more. At the age of 5, Braden picked up the fiddle and has now become one of Canada's best emerging fiddlers. In 2010, he was a finalist at the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championships in Ottawa, Ontario. He now teaches at Fiddle Camps in Alberta, passing on the beautiful gift of music that was shared with him growing up. Within the past year, Braden has really focused on creating and performing original songs that will bring you to a place where you feel that you belong, where you can feel right at home, wherever you may be. The past few months have included Braden touring schools with Les Bucherons across Western Canada sharing Canadian history and French Canadian culture with kids using songs, stories, and dances. He has also opened for Jimmy Rankin, and this summer will be performing at numerous events, among them, the Canmore Folk Festival and the Edmonton Folk Festival. Braden is currently working on a five song EP which will be released late July. Keep an eye out for this kid. Someday, you meet will him on down the road.
