Alberto Bertapelle played in local bands both as a guitarist and as a pianist since the early age of 13, as he had decided to learn to play both guitar and piano.
He opened concerts of Pierangelo Bertoli, Ivan Graziani and other famous italian singers.
In 93/94 he worked in the recording studios of Media Records in Brescia, and then he decided to open a recording studio of his own where he started to produce his own music.
He worked for Great Dane records, where he produced 10 records, and for many other labels, before starting to produce for Danceworks, where he produced about 30 records. In 1997 with Positiva, a label of EMI UK in London, he released the single Nightmare, with the artist name of Brainbug, that went to the Top Ten in the Uk charts, in the USA and in many other countries. With the same song he won the International Award WMC in Miami (USA) and a gold record in Australia. Still as Brainbug he entered the UK and USA charts with other songs, he made 2 tours in the USA, one in Australia and others in many other european countries.
He opened a music academy, the Help Music Academy, where he also teaches sound engineering, and as he missed playing live, he started the new project called Abbashow.
