   About Brendan Devereux
I was born in Finglas West, Dublin a while back. I suppose family hooleys were my first experience of songs, and soon I realised I had my own way of internalizing them and giving them back. As a young teenager I began busking in Merchants Arch at the foot of the Halfpenny Bridge. I remember my art teacher saying to me once after he heard me play " Brendan , you've got a passport to see the world" He was right - music has gotten me around quite a bit. Sitting around a campfire singing songs in Macroom 1978, before Rory Gallagher is due on stage the following day, and an american girl appears out of the darkness dressed in a full-length overcoat and breaks into song - she took my breath away. She stayed a while and returned to her tent in the darkness.

Hi Brendan,

Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've
been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will
soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to
download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.

To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are
giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby. All you have to do is send your email
address to queen.elvis@yahoo.ie and we will send it to you.

We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to
bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV
this week with the full line up. We are currently taking bookings for
gigs/concerts/festivals and can be contacted on the email above, or through our
myspace and facebook pages.

Thankyou for your continued support in what has been a great year for us!

Best Wishes

Caroline and Colin

under the stars
just gaze and listen..

the silence is loud
as the moon light
glistens

you feel the peace
hear a whisper
not the wind
your intuition..

you feel the goodness
deep down your soul..

God gave you the stars
to rock and roll

so every night
under one bright
star
say a blessing
be thankful
who you are.

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

Dropping my to extend my good wishes and I gather the music is going well!!  I listen often to the songs of Ireland....I love the music, but it reminds most of all, how much I enjoyed my visit to a world I thought I knew and knew nothing about at all!  To each of your comrades, I give this same message and to say thank you for the wonderful listening for each and every song played and sung.....THANKS!  ;)
