Live instrumentation is where it is for me. Thank God for midi, but live recordings are wonderful. I love Donna Summers, Billie Holiday, Roberta Flack, Nina Simone, Omara Portuondo, Joan Osborne, Joni Mitchell, Aretha Franklin, Janice Joplin, Ann Murray, Carly Simon, Whitney Houston, etc.. In the men, I love Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Barry White, Ibrahim Ferrer, Cachao, Prince, Sam Cooke, etc.. Classically, Vivaldi, Chopin and Bach are my favorite composers. I listen a lot to "The Four Seasons" for my emotions. Anne Sophie Mutter is an incredible modern day arranger/composer/violinist who is awesome. Yo-Yo Ma on the cello. An inspiring performer for me. This list is too long and forever growing. I'll update occasionally :)

I'll be interviewed one day too. Watch. Been to Spain twice to sing negro music, some R & B too. Sang in church, like a lot of us brown folk. That means I like to holler sometimes but I don't always. I want to sing back up for John Legend while I work on my own project. Maybe I will. I'll ask around, since I know some people.
