Interests

  • General

DJing dark psychedelic trance, creating psychedelic trance events under the Atrium Obscurum name, dancing in nature, scuba diving, hiking, camping, snowboarding, baseball, football, the stars, science, pushing past fears, pushing the boundaries of my own self, music, my wife, my son, my family/friends, nano-technology, spirituality, computers, networks, psychedelica, the beach, cold-brisk air, etc.
  • Music

My one true love is deep, dark & twisted psychedelic trance. I can appreciate and get into other styles of music, but I haven't found anything that is as powerful in how it resonates inside of me like I have with darkpsy. I rather dislike the name of darkpsy, for a lot of it just isn't dark. It is challenging though and can be very intense. It is a tool, much like lots of things in this world. I like to use that tool to create a sonic haven in which people can, if they choose, go to places inside that are full of fear with the hope that they can do the work to help them transcend those fears. Its all in the mind release your fears and see the light.
  • Movies

Any movie that can move me emotionally and that can stir me mentally. There are too many movies for me to list at this point....maybe later.
  • Television

Not a big television fan in my spare time. If I watch tv it is generally going to only be any of the Discovery channels, or sports. when it comes to sports I will generally only watch it if of the Boston sports teams are playing. Other than that I could careless about tv. Most of it is mindless dribble and filled with a bunch of advertising. I am not another sheep in the flock, and keeping far away from tv in general helps to keep it that way.
  • Books

I have been moved by many, but I don't make the time to pick them up that often. I like to focus on books that will push my mind, and help open up my awareness.
  • Heroes

I don't necessarily have any heroes. So many people have had a positive affect on my life. It would be hard to place the hero status on any of them without placing it on all of them. I have never been rescued from a burning house, car or bush, so that's out of the question. I don't know anyone who can leap buildings in a single bound, who can shoot spider webs from their wrists, or who wears a bat costume from time to time. So, they are out of the equation. I guess the only person whom I could really say is my hero would be by beautiful wife Jessica. She has helped me take a bite out of this world, and help me continue on the path of realizing my potential. She has opened up my eyes to different experiences, and taught me lots about the spacious and crazy mind of a woman. She is my light and my dark. She is my hero.

Who I'd like to meet:

I would like to meet people who are focusing on their evolution; whether that's mental or spiritual. People who focus on being as aware as they can be in their waking life. People who love psychedelic trance, and love to get crazy in nature while going down that winding road in their head that leads to a beautiful place on the other side. I would like to meet people who wish to continually challenge themselves, and aren't happy with the status quo. I have been a vegetarian for over 7 months now and I am slowly making my way to being vegan, so meeting other vegetarians and vegans is always a plus.

I ended up making a couple of pieces with styrofoam and wooden rods. I hand painted the foam pieces with tempura paint so they wouldn't melt from the spray paint and spraypainted the rods then assembled everything. I had big plans of doing the whole room with some geometric pieces but soon was reminded that quality work takes a lot of time. Despite not being able to really do the whole room, I think my two pieces definitely added a lot to the atmosphere in there.

    Here's a pic:

I am so mad at myself that I couldn't get back home in time on Sunday & had to bounce out on Saturday night. But yeah, thank you so much for completely ripping open the portal of time & space. I had fun exploring that.

    =D

And I still have more pics to upload!
