Singer, Songwriter, Producer, Performer: Brian Anthony
Proving unstoppable, Brian Anthony's international persona is clearly on the rise with two chart-topping singles already under his belt and a legion of faithfully devoted fans. Brian's musical works are fueled by undeniably sexy, upbeat urban/dance-pop cleverness. His performances are driven by his powerful vocals, matinee-idol good looks and steaming hot dance moves. He's a songwriter and performer on par with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke and Daniel Bedingfield, delivering the kind of hooks and beats that have made those touchstones worldwide superstars. Brian Anthony has arrived.
The San Francisco native has always been driven when it comes to making music. As a child, Brian was playing popular radio hits on the piano by ear – fooling friends and piano teachers into thinking he knew all of the notes. By age 13, he won his parents' permission to work part-time at a small-town yogurt shop in order to pay for his first studio recordings. He soon began spending long hours in the studio, where he learned the nuts and bolts of recording.
Fueled by his passion for music, Brian Anthony eagerly pursued formal piano lessons and vocal training during his high school years. He began appearing in musical theater, where his star was discovered early on by an agent who began sending him out on many commercial and film role auditions. It was a chance victory in a contest sponsored by NBC's Saturday morning "Name Your Adventure" program that catapulted Brian into the big leagues. That win gave him a chance to write a song with Boyz II Men on-the-spot in front of news cameras and network professionals. The resulting tune, "Save Me from the Pain," aired across the nation and solidified Brian's reputation as one of the country's most promising young singer/songwriters.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Brian made his mark in the pop scene with his self-penned ballad titled "Champion," which became the theme song at the 2005 Special Olympics Summer Games. Quickly, "Champion" was licensed and used in a campaign for Wal-Mart's worldwide conferences designed to revamp their global image.
In 2006, Brian Anthony wrote and produced the attitude-driven club single "Come and Get It." "Come and Get It" quickly found a home in the 20th Century Fox animated feature "Garfield 2: Tail of Two Kitties." As a bonus, Brian's music video for the track is also showcased in the DVD's Special Features section. The "Garfield 2: Tail of Two Kitties" placement led to a European distribution deal for the "Come and Get It" single. Within the first two weeks of release "Come and Get It" climbed to number 13 on Spain's Top 20 Singles Sales chart. The single was successively released in Italy, Russia and South Africa while the music video received play worldwide.
Brian joined forces once again with 20th Century FOX on the DVD release of the blockbuster "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer." The dance track "WhatsitgonnaB? (I'm So Ready)" was included in the DVD Bonus Features during a special montage. With the Hollywood DVD impetus behind the track, a remix package was assembled featuring productions by some of the biggest names on the scene: Chus & Ceballos, Albert Castillo, Rui Da Silva, Rod Carrillo and Chris Noxx. "WhatsitgonnaB? (I'm So Ready)" quickly became the second international hit for Brian Anthony climbing the Billboard Club Play chart in the U.S. to number 22, UK Club Chart to number 7 and impressively landing on the UK Pop Chart at number 8.
Currently on deck for Brian is the international release of the single "Worked Up!" The release includes a smash line-up of impeccable remixes, lead by international producer/remixer Mark Picchiotti, who currently is enjoying a number one hit single on the UK Pop Chart, LOVE TO INFINITY (Multi Platinum Grammy Nominated Record Producer), Kinky Roland, Raul Rincon (a worldwide heavy hitting house sensation with remixes for JoJo, Right Said Fred, Milk & Sugar) and hip-hop mixes by Chris Noxx (Brian's last remix "WhatsitgonnaB?
