Brickface Press has been created as an attempt to draw together all the best music and art here in the northwest and the world. we are completely non - profit, independent and DIY, but also value quality and integrity very highly.
we believe the printed word should not be governed by record sales, tour dates or record release marketing. we aim solely to provide an arena for anyone with an opinion and a pen and paper, something real that can be held in your hand, not lost in "cyberspace".
we believe the only way to ensure true honesty and integrity is if no one makes a profit from its production.
If you would like to write/photograph/review/draw/create anything to be included do not hesitate for a second, we want as many people as possible to contribute ideas.

Who I'd like to meet:

CROCUS played Brickface Press launch night #4 at Casa de Brujas art space in Liverpool- a performance truly worthy of being one of the best hardcore shows Liverpool has ever seen
ISSUE #4, the Feminist Special is out now and includes:
Interviews with Steven O'Malley of the mighty Sunn0)))
Legendary San Francisco noise outfit Erase Errata
Ghostlimb
Artists Littlewhitehead
A Brief History of Feminism
Album/ Live Reviews, Recipes, Fun and Games, Brickface guide to Economic Collapse and Short Story.
To get involved in any aspect of what we are doing email us at brickfacepress@hotmail.com.
Also, please send us any short stories you have written and want to share as we are currently compiling the brickface short story book.

You can now get a b&w copy of Issue 10 posted to your door for £2.00 to any British address or £3.00 internationally.

The issue celebrates five years of DrunkenWerewolf in some form of media - a good time to catch up with some of our favourite artists, we have articles written by Jeremy Warmsley, Lupen Crook and Laura Simmons of Das Wanderlust, and two established writers talk about how they found Kat Flint and Caitlin Rose. We've interviewed Bristol collective OLO Worms, London's music monarch King Charles and recording studio mavericks House of Strange, and there's also an interview with Nashville's fantastic gypsy/country outfit Buffalo Clover and a bumper feature on the Filthy Little Angels record label. Finally, to celebrate a decade of music, the writers have picked out their most inspiring albums of the 2000's.

OUT NOW ON POWER NEGI RECORDS:

SUCKINIM BAENAIM / ACHZAVOTH SPLIT 7"
Two crazy Israeli bands is the only way to describe this record. Suckinim Baenaim play insane, fast experimental punk. The only why to describe it is by saying it's similar to Rolo Tomassi, HORSE the band, Holy Molar etc - but they sound nothing like those bands. Achzavoth on the other hand... I've heard nothing like them before - fast, heavy, satan loving, fun.

    Suckinim Achzavoth

DING DONG DEAD 'NIE WIEDER MORGEN' 10"
When a band is named after an Orchid song you know they have the right influences already. Nine tracks of intense punk/..screamo/skramz - whatever you want to call it. All the lyrics are in German but they come with English explanations which is cool.

    Ding Dong Dead
