we wanted to let you know that the new album is finally complete and is now being pressed. as you know, the record has taken far longer than any of us ever expected. but with so much time invested, it really became all that we dreamed it could be. this pursuit has been filled with a lot of blessing and a whole lot of hardship. it's been quite a battle along the way, as if all odds were against us. i thought that when it was finished i would have a sense of relief, or accomplishment, but i still found myself uneasy when we got there. this record is not for my accomplishment, or our accomplishment, it's for you. if this album could speak some love, and hope, and truth, into your lives.... then it's purpose is being fulfilled. our work this past year was for that purpose and i won't feel like the work is being done until it's in your hands. the finish of the new album is just the start.
the album will be released early October in California. it will be available for order online, as well as itunes.
we are booking a tour through the western states in October/November. the dates will be posted soon.
and now i need to tell you something that i've been holding back.
briertone has been around for over six years now. and it's been a good run. we've been a lot of things through the years. we've been called eccentric, dark, we've been called country, we've been called rock n' roll. we've been encouragers, and we've been discouragers. life is a roller coaster and our music always reflected where we were at. truth is, there's a lot of things attached to our name that we don't want to be attached to anymore. and it's been on our hearts for a long time now. it's time for a new chapter, and a new start.
i won't stop writing songs, or performing them. God has put a fire in my heart to do what i do. i'm no greater than any man... my weapon just happens to have steel strings and tuning keys. i'm not finished, but the name 'BRIERTONE' is. our 13 song full length album will be released under my name, Adam Pasion. All things are new my friends.
The name of the new record is called 'O HEAR THE RATTLING.'
I love you guys. I am blessed and humbled by your willingness to listen. I pray that these new songs will not return void, but by God's goodness and power, they will impact your lives.
