Bio
LA-based songwriter Bryan Master released his new album FOR PEOPLE LIKE US on 3/15/11 on Bonavox Records. The album's credits read like an indie-artists' wish list: a duet with Liz Phair, and guest appearances by Jordan Zevon (son of legendary Warren Zevon), Rami Jaffee (Wallflowers, FooFighters), Jonny Polonsky, Chuck Fay (State Radio), Don McCloskey, Pete Yorn's entire backing band and some of the best session musicians out there. Recorded in Los Angeles, under the supervision of seasoned musician, TV/Film score composer and Producer Evan Frankfort, they wanted to record a classic-sounding, multifarious album with an ensemble cast - consisting entirely of friends and respected colleagues. You'll hear draws from his Irish roots, melodic nods to the classic sounds that defined his native New Jersey/Philadelphia scene in the '50s & '60s and a blend of alt-rock, Baroque Chamber/pop and ambient, cinematic sound-scapes. The songs evoke the sounds of anyone from The Zombies, Beach Boys, U2, Elvis Costello, REM, Foo Fighters, Beck, Pete Yorn...to even the Pogues. Songs from the forthcoming album are already receiving radio airplay on such stations as NPR's WXPN in Philadelphia and placement in TV and Film projects. The release has also received media support through the following outlets: Billboard.com, AOL Music, Yahoo! Music, MySpace Music, MSN Music and SPIN. Bryan celebrated the release with two sold-out Los Angeles shows: a Record Release show at The Hotel Cafe & a Benefit Concert at the El Rey Theatre, with Manchester Orchestra. -
