Beneath The Frozen Soil is a doom metal band from Sweden. The band was formed I early 2004, originally as a mere outlet for the love of doom and raw energy. A kind of electrically amplified primal scream therapy if you will. Gradually the whole thing evolved into the more seriously committed unit it is today. During its time of existence the band has went from an unstructured duo to a goal oriented three piece committed to unleash its special brand of blackened doom upon the world.
The basic concept is to invoke emotion, both musically and lyrically. A way to channel the mindset of a given moment, be it real or not. In this we strive to step away from the most common clichés of doom. For example the romanticizing of depression, grief and loss. We rather portray it as one of the uglier sides of being human.
We take our inspiration everywhere we find it, life in general, personal experiences or pure fiction.
