The name "Bubonik Funk" is known very well around Charlotte, North Carolina and beyond as the band of three years continues to grow and improve on their eclectic yet modern sound. Charlotte publications and venues are taking notice of the fast-growing popularity, as well as radio stations and venues in Boston, New York City, Washington DC, and elsewhere. Bubonik Funk played their last show on Halloween with nationally touring act "Soulive". The band is also on the verge of releasing a 2009 E.P. entitled "Wink at the Devil". The upward spiral of popularity and success comes without management, booking agents, record labels or promoters. It is all Bubonik Funk. It's about the music. With the music industry at it's knees, B-Funk is showing it's alternative means of reaching success and recognition.
