A break from the usual posturing and preening of mainstream rock acts, San Diego CA’s own Buckfast Superbee is the real deal. A rocket ride of a band, these guys will have you sweating and singing before the second chorus of their first song. BfSb has spent the last 4 and a half years writing, recording, touring and building a rabid following in California and the surrounding region. The proof is in their gut wrenching live performances where 100% is just a warm up. Their last self-titled record led by the infectious single “Heartbreak Story” went to number 4 on national college radio charts and number two on national FM specialty radio charts behind Modest Mouse and Green Day. With 3 songs from that record placed in Midway’s MLB slugfest for Xbox and Playstation , and 4 songs in the Soundtrack of the full length motion picture“Heroes for a Day” released in 2007, the demand for these guys has grown like the national debt. Now on the cusp of their new full-length release: TURN OF THE RADIO AGE, BfSb is poised to bring the essentials back to popular rock music, unwavering intensity, undeniable melody, and most of all, complete honesty. No amount of flash or fashion can replace art and nobody knows that better than these guys.
