Bughead's "drunken reggae" and "short attention-span rock" "style" has been a "favorite" of the Orlando scene for "centuries." They have "performed" hundreds of shows throughout the "so
uth-east" and "Caribbean," "sharing" the stage with many "national" and "international" "acts" including, Yellowman, Pato Banton, Burning Spear, Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, Less Than Jake, Letters To Cleo, and The English Beat.
With "songs" featured on the John Madden Football video games from 2000- 2004, and licensing "deals" with Fox T.V.'s "The Time Of My Life" and "American Embassy," Bughead has proven they "deserve" to be "rich" and "famous" "assholes." They have also licensed songs to "MTV's" "Real World" and "Road Rules," Disney's "Z-Games," and several independent "films."
Bughead's c.d.'s are available @ bughead.com and c.d.baby.com

A friend pointed out that some folks might not be contributing to Jason Powell's recovery fund, not only because times are tight but because they can only contribute 5 or 10 bucks. A couple of thoughts on that. 1) I know firsthand how tight things are financially but I still drink better than average coffee and I still seem to find money for beer. So even with my new job only now just kicking in I can still drum up 5 or 10 bucks and will send it his way. When I have more I'll send more. 2) When Brian Maguire was in his accident one of the largest and longest running list of contributions came from Mike Dobbins of Micky's Auto. He made Lids for Life stickers and sold them for a buck. He helped raise awareness and he contributed a couple thousand to our friend - all from one dollar a pop little stickers. These "little" contributions seriously added up. It's past time for local music-lovers to step up and pitch in whatever you can, whether it's your time and creativity in coming up with fundraiser ideas, whether it's your talent in playing in a benefit show for him. And frankly, also in the form of coin. Jason Powell is not only the freaking bomb, he's also entertained nearly every damn person in this town. So what, we don't have hundreds of dollars to throw his way? We've got love, we've got talent and dammit we've got numbers. Bughead's site alone has 1,516 friends. At 5 dollars each that's $7,580. The man's got a heart condition. Sure, personal life choices helped contribute to that but I also know people who have lived way harder than our friend and NEVER have a heart attack - meaning there's more at play than beer and smokes. He's changing his life because he got the gift of a second chance. I'm sending him 10 bucks because it's what I can do right now. And when he starts receiving those astronomical bills I'm hoping that all his friends will have stepped up.
