Die Geschichte des Bun Babylon Sound begann im Jahre 2001 als sich Selecta Wicked, Don Hen und Hannibal-C-Lecta an der Uni kennen lernten. Schnell stellte sich heraus das alle mit dem selben Reggae Virus infiziert sind und so begann man zusammen zu selecten. Nach ersten privaten und kleineren Auftritten wurde 2003 der BUN BABYLON SOUND gegründet. Seitdem beschallt der Sound diverse Clubs und Locations mit der gesamten Bandbreite an Reggae, von raren Foundationtunes, den neusten Dancehallbrettern, nicen Dubs und sweetem Reggae bis hin zu Ska und Soca. Teilweise begleitet von nationalen und internationalen Artists wie Fitta Warri, Tolga, Andrew "Mr. Summerjam" Murphy, Snagga Puss, Dr. Ring Ding, Daddy Freddy, The Wailers, Raggabund, Blackout JA, Kimoe etc. und Sounds wie Cosca Jonica, Sheriffs Soundpatrol, Pow Pow, Freddy Krueger, Civalizee, Black Spider Int., Trinity, Warrior Sound, City Lock, Tek 9 Europe, Soundvibration, Silverbullet uvm. Seit Anfang 2010 spielen die Kölner jeden ersten Freitag im Monat ihren Regular "Strictly Niceness inna di Luxor". Mittlerweile ist der Sound bereichert durch die Mitgliedern MC Wupdy (2009) und Domes Dean (2011).


The History of Bun Babylon Sound began in the Year 2001. Selecta Wicked, Don Hen and Hannibal-C-Lecta met each other at the German Sports University Cologne. All of them were infected by the Reggae Virus. One Year later they started to promote Reggae and Dancehall in public and in 2003 the Bun Babylon Soundsystem was founded. Gigs with national and international Artists like General Manu, Fitta Warri, Tolga, Andrew "Mr Summerjam" Murphy, Snagga Puss, Dr. Ring Ding, Daddy Freddy, The Wailers, Raggabund, Blackout JA, Kimoe etc. and Sounds like Cosca Jonica, Sheriffs Soundpatrol, Pow Pow, Freddy Krueger, Civalizee, Black Spider Int., Trinity, Warrior Sound, City Lock, Tek 9 Europe, Soundvibration, Silverbullet etc. followed. MC Wupdy in 2009 and last but not least Domes Dean completed the sound in 2011. Bun Babylon Soundsystem loves Reggae Music and also plays Dancehall, Ska, Soca and Hip Hop.


El nacimiento de Bun Babylon Soundsystem se produce en el año 2001, cuando Selecta Wicked, Don Hen y Hannibal-C-Lecta se conocen en la Universidad Alemana del Deporte y descubren que comparten la misma pasión por el Reggae y el vinil. Es a partir del año 2003 que comienzan a presentarse públicamente junto a artistas de la escena nacional e internacional como: General Manu, Fitta Warri, Tolga, Andrew "Mr Summerjam" Murphy, Snagga Puss, Dr. Ring Ding, Daddy Freddy, The Wailers, Raggabund, Blackout JA, Kimoe etc. y otros Soundsystems como Cosca Jonica, Sheriffs Soundpatrol, Pow Pow, Freddy Krueger, Civalizee, Black Spider Int., Trinity, Warrior Sound, City Lock, Tek 9 Europe, Soundvibration, Silverbullet entre otros. Entre tanto el Soundsystem se ha completado, gracias a la incorporación del MC Wupdy y Domes Dean. Las preferencias musicales de Bun Babylon Soundsystem están orientadas hacia el Reggae. Sin embargo, también deleitan a su público con una gran y variada selección de Dancehall, Ska, Soca y Hip Hop.
