In a musical scene where contaminations and compromises chase the trends, BURNING BLACK have chosen their path without any hesitation. A pure eighties-style Heavy Metal, showing that it is still possible to play good music following in the footsteps of the big ones: not imitating them, but looking at the future with the sound of the present.

The band, formed in 2004 by Giovanni Moretto (guitar) and Massimo De Nardi (vocals), begins its career in the Italian underground scene by recording 2 promo CDs (“Smell the Fire”, 2005 and “Fight to Dream”, 2006), acclaimed by mainstream and underground press all over Italy and Europe.
During those years, Alessandro Jacobi (bass), Marco Maffeis (lead guitar) and Luca Scomparin (drums) join the band, that begins major touring with many Italian and European bands.
Between July and August 2007, the band records its first full length album, entitled “Prisoners Of Steel”, at the Remaster Studio in Vicenza (Italy), produced by Tony Fontò (White Skull) and Nick Savio (Hollow Haze, Cyber Cross), the latter also appearing as a special guest on the album.
“Prisoners Of Steel”, a work totally committed to the rules of uncompromising Heavy Metal, achieved outstanding reviews all over the world as well as good sales, allowing the band to take its music one step further.
