Burning the Day, through its short life, has already accomplished a great deal. The band was formed by vocalist Chris Gillespie, drummer Matt Metcalfe and guitarist Braden Hoey in early 2005. Eager to acquire a solid bassist, Dan Rodbard was quickly recruited. Shortly after, they started writing songs for the album now known as "In Fall She Sleeps".

Their first album, "In Fall She Sleeps", was released in March 2006. This came very easily to the talented foursome, but not without many hours in the studio rehearsing and recording until each song was perfected. The long hours proved to be worth it as "In Fall She Sleeps" shows an inspirational collection of 11 tracks, each of them focusing on each individuals strengths and pushing each member to a new level. The CD got rave reviews from all credible magazines that critiqued it (Metal Hammer, Metal Sludge, Kerrang ect).

Shortly after the release of "In Fall She sleeps" bassist Dan Rodbard was replaced by Mike Cohen, an extremely talented and insightful musician. The final piece of the puzzle had fit into place. All four members of BTD have many years of experience within different bands. Their understanding of the dedication and devotion needed to succeed is evident and growing. This is shown through their extensive practice routine and constant live performances. BTD entered the studio just one short year after the release of "In Fall She Sleeps" with 10 new blistering metal songs. They wrote over 25 songs and picked the best for the new album, not something that was done for "In Fall She Sleeps". This process helped create a killer heavy metal record beginning to end known as " Dawn Of Thorns". Already BTD has shared the stage with such acts as: Arise and Ruin, The Black Dahlia Murder, Bury your Dead, Ringworm, Bring Me The Horizon, The Autumn Offering, Nights Like These, Throwdown, Beneath The Massacre, The Destro, Soilwork, Ion Dissonance, War of Ages and many more.

Now with years of studio and live experience, they push themselves even harder. Their determination is now stronger than ever. With every website hit, every sticker and every CD sold, they gain ever increasing interest. Without a doubt, Burning the Day will go far, and will be grateful for they know that each fan and each break they've been given is a blessing.
