Have you ever wanted to read your favorite BOA poem for an audience? Well, here is your chance, and you could win free BOA books. The best three readers will receive four free BOA titles by A. Poulin, Jr. Prize winning poets, which includes books by Tom Hansen, David Woo, Michael Teig, Crystal Bacon, Li-Young Lee, and Debra Kang Dean, among many others.
The Guidelines: - Record a video of you reading a poem by your favorite BOA poet and post it on your MySpace page. The poem must be from a book published by BOA Editions, Ltd. - In the video, say what piece you are reading and by what poet. (Bonus points if you include the poet’s book in the video!) - Send a MySpace message to BOA that includes your name, mailing address, the title of the piece and the poet, and a link to your page. Title the message, “Speak Your Piece (with BOA!).” Excluding any of the required information will disqualify your submission. Videos must be posted and a message sent to BOA by August 6, 2007. - All contest participants will be added to the BOA mailing list. - The winners will be announced on MySpace August 14, 2007. - BOA staff and board members are not eligible for the contest.
