Caldera was found in January 2002 in the Antwerp area. It started out as a 6-piece Hardcore band and Caldera played a lot of shows (Mons Metal Meeting, Biebob, Puntpop, Underworld (UK), Blackbox Tour Package with Unleash The Fury and In-Quest, …), support gigs for Shattered Realm, Angel Crew, As We Fight, Born From Pain, 25 Ta Life and many more + a tour in Spain.
Since 2005, after several line-up changes, Caldera is now known as a 5-piece brutal live band. During March 2008, Caldera will present you a new drummer (Llano from Everyone Dies Alone, a deathcore band from Antwerp). After 3 years Joey finally decided to leave Caldera, cause he wanted to put all of his heart in the Hellcrawlers (rock & roll).
Caldera will bring you a complex variation of no-bullshit and straightforward in yer face hardhitting metalcore with heavy breakdowns. Due to the fact of a new drummer, expect something even heavier then everything we have ever written until this day!!!
Dec 2007 is an important date, because it was the release of their first Full Lenght: "Free Will Is A Joke".
Ace Zec from Death Before Disco recorded, mixed and mastered these songs during the summer of 2007. It contains 10 furious and energetic songs with melodic parts varied with hard-blasting moshparts.
Guest vocals: Ron (Hard Resistance, Unleash The Fury), Alex Agnew (Diablo Boulevard) + backin' vocals: Ad (Moker).
