- Sally T's was pretty cool. Decent turnout considering the weather. All the bands were good, especially Tambland, none of us had heard them before, so good job to them and all the bands. Our set went alright, except for the shorting out amp, it managed to only butcher our first song, but the rest was alright. Thanks to everyone for showin up..................................................................................................................
-Battle of the bands was cool, but super unorganized. We ended up playin for about 7 mins or so and had to cut a song short. the last guy barely got to play at all, felt bad about that. We ended up winning so that was definitely cool. The only other bad thing about it was all the little shits who tripped on our equipment/turned all the knobs, etc. But thanks to everybody who watched and supported..................................................................................................................
-Hey we're playin the battle of the bands at Howell. It's on Friday during the assembly. Make sure to check us out if you get the chance. I dont know how the voting works, but if the audience votes, you had better vote for us. Each band gets to play for 15 minutes, so thats a pretty long time for a school thing. -This is sorta late, but thanks to everyone who came out to the Comedy Forum. -Skull Goblet will soon be replaced by a new song, which is yet to be titled. Its pretty fuckin rad, but grab Skull Goblet while you can. -Calistoga got started probably in about September or October of 2004. Nick and Matt had always jammed together with guitars, then Dan was acquired, and they played loosely for a couple of weeks until John finally got around to playin with us. The four have played together since, and are currently in search of a singer. If Juan would stop beatin around the bush, he could sing...................................................................................................................
The sound can be described as a sort of stoner rock sound mixed in with some classic rock, and all around just badass rock n roll. Its about time bands start just playin rock n roll. To hell with prefixes, rock will suffice................................................................................................................
We had our first show in Februarywithout a singer...which was cool, of course. But, we would really like a singer. If anyone sings well and is interested in this sort of sound let us know. Calistoga is looking to add come cover songs to its setlist. ZZ Top's La Grange is likely, Nugent's Stranglehold was messed around with and is possible,and a Nebula song will be covered for sure. So we played the graduation party, and it went really well. Everybody had a great time. Park City played with us, well 1/2 of Park City and they had an acoustic jam, and might I say did a very nice cover of 'Semi Charmed Life' by Third Eye Blind.
