Kickstarting an old motorcycle and hearing it just dying to turn over.
Then you have to try kickstarting it a couple more times before she'll start. Then you'll need to let her warm up for a minute before going anywhere. Once she's warm, you're ready to go!
But not more than 20 mph, 30 tops. At least not for like twenty minutes.
Then she's set to cruise, and you're the badass on this sweet old hunk of former glory with some moderately rusted chrome and slightly scratched and scuffed yellow paint. C. Davis was born in the back woods of Southern Louisiana where he picked up (by osmosis and improperly treated wastewater) the sweat and soul of Delta blues musicians. He headed North to NYC for college where he gorged on American folk/traditional tunes. After completing his undergrad, he moved to Philadelphia and got through one year of a Ph.D. program in mathematics before deciding to give his left brain a break and go to San Francisco to decompress and write songs.
