Nizhniy Novgorod duo CANNON PROJECT hardly can be named beginners on a musical stage - Sergey Neustroyev, Yurii Karpov and Vladimir Lushin have engaged in creation of electronic music in 1994, but only in 1995 they were united and have named group CANNON PROJECT. The first alive performance of group has the same year taken place in legendary club "Manhattan". Since then the trio acted in all clubs of Nizhniy Novgorod concerning rave-culture.
In 1999 and 2000 years the project became the best on a recognition of known Nizhniy Novgorod DJs and the producers who are included in jury of two competitions of electronic musicians. Since 1999 began active touring groups across Russia and near abroad. For last years CANNON PROJECT has had time to blow up cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, N.Novgorod, Ulyanovsk, Yaroslavl, Tolyatti, Samara, Evpatoria, Simferopol together with DJs: Calrek, Talla 2XTLC, Doorkeeper, Friendly, Chris Binder, Chris Clark, Sean O Neal, Fashist, Magick B, Finist, Van Nosikov, Slon, Kolya, Compass - Vrubel, Cosmonaut, and many others.
In many respects turning-points in creativity of collective became performances at festival KAZANTIP in 2000 and 2003 where, due to power of thousand person, new ideas were born. In 2002 the project lets out a debut album "MOVEMENT of MUSIC", received weight of positive responses.
2003 is marked by long-awaited position 1 in Techno and Hard-Techno charts of one of the largest musical servers mp3.com.au, huge quantity positive review on music of a trio from all world. The first actively prepares for the edition EP plate of group on Crowbar label. Till the recent moment CANNON PROJECT was known for the trance-music, but finally the basic theme of their creativity there was a music in styles Hard techno and Shcranz.

Cannon project ist ein Bündnis zwischen zwei markanten und kreativen Persönlichkeiten – Sergey Neustroew und Juri Karpow . Ihren Weg zum Musikgipfel haben Jungs schon im Jahre 1995 gemacht. Dank ihrem Talent und ihrer Zielstrebigkeit haben sie im Laufe von einigen Jahren erreicht, sich in das führende russische Techno-Projekt zu verwandeln.
Sommer 2003 war der Wendepunkt für Cannon Project. Die Musiker haben völlig ihren Sound gewechselt, und zwar statt melodischer Töne - aggressiver und kompromissloser Techno-Sound. Im Herbst dessen Jahres haben Jungs ihren ersten Techno-Hit «Elephant song» aufgenommen und veröffentlicht. Diese Arbeit hat den Musikern Erfolg nicht nur in Russland, sondern auch weit im Auslande gebracht. In vielen internationalen Techno-Charts hat «Elephant song» monatelang die ersten Positionen nicht verlassen. Der nächste „Kanonenschuß“ von ?annon Project war die Platte «Industral Beat», die bei dem deutschen Label CROWBAR erschien. Die Platte hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen, und seit dem spricht man von ?annon Project als von den großen Musikern. Bis jetzt hat die Platte an der Aktualität nicht verloren, und viele DJ's gehen bis jetzt ganz gern an sie ran .
Parallel mit den Studioarbeiten haben die Musiker viel gastiert. Die Auftrittgeographie Cannon Project erstreckt sich von den Schachten des rauen Urals bis zu den sonnigen Ufern des Schwarzen Meeres. Auf den großen Festivals wie «Kazantip'05 und '06», «Schlag des Ostens» («Udar Musi?»), «Qiev Dance», «Technosphäre 2006, 2007», «Technopolis», «Hardline77», «Mechanica» haben Jungs unschätzbare Erfahrung im Live-Spielen gesammelt, selbstsiecher geworden und sich als eine sehr bedeutsame Truppe auf der Techno-Szene festgesetzt. Sie sind auf derselben Bühne mit solchen Persönlichkeiten wie ? Dr. Motte, Oliver Klein, Phil Kieran, Paul Kalbrenner, Carl Bartos, Chris Binder , Arkus P, Chris Liberator, Ant Aka Ninehundredand9, Guy McAffer, Alex Calver, Energun , Jan Liefhebber, Talla 2XTLC, Doorkeeper, Calrek aufgetreten. Damit haben die “Kanonen” nicht nur die Aktualität ihres Sounds bewiesen, sondern auch die Bedeutung auf der internationalen elektronischen Bühne.
Heute ist Cannon Project einer von den besten Vertretern der russischen Techno-Szene. Ihr Live-Spiel ist echte Mischung aus der stürmischen Energie, Kraft, Tiefe und Schönheit der Techno-Musik. Jungs vervollkommnen sich ständig, und hören damit nicht auf, sogar erfahrene Kritiker zu wundern.
