'It was only 9 p.m. on opening night when I hit my first pay dirt of this year’s SXSW in Austin: Capsula a kinetic trio from Bilbao, Spain — singer-guitarist Martin Guevara and bassist Coni Duchess, the band’s founding couple, are originally from Argentina — who were supposed to be obsessed with the Velvet Underground (according to a newspaper preview) but were actually a high-velocity union of the Cramps and the Who, coated in corroded glam. Guevara attacked his guitar with a serious case of Pete Townshend, and drummer Alberto Diez was an improbable mix of Keith Moon and the Velvets’ Maureen Tucker: flash with heartbeat. In the last song of the set, a furious space-out that sounded like the Who doing Pink Floyd’s “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun,” Guevara swallowed his mike Lux Interior-style and scraped his guitar strings along the edge of the stage. You don’t get those visuals with Capsula’s new album, Rising Mountains (BCore), but you get the idea — and everything I heard.'

From Buenos Aires vía the Basque Country to the world, raw guitars, sonic sounds & noise straight to your heart & bones.
Formed in 1997 to produce hallucination & enlightment, these live sexy animals on stage, hailing from the streets of South America mix their raw noise and sonic sounds in a hyper exciting live act.
Capsula is a band from Buenos Aires located in Bilbao. Their name is the spanish word for Capsule and derives from the David Bowie song Space Oddity and The Jean Genie.
Influenced by 60's South American psychedelic rock and garage they have released eps, albums, played festivals, toured UK, Europe and South America.
In 2008 and 2009 they played at SXSW.
Described as live musical animals on stage by the european press, their songs with raw mix of sonic sounds results in a refrenshingly and hyper excitig live act.
They recorded 'Songs & Circuits', in 2006, their fourth album titled and first for the Madrid-based label Discos Liliput. The album was released January 16 2007 described them as "Sonic Garage rock for the 21st Century" reminiscent of The Stooges, The Velvet Underground and the early The Rolling Stones. 'Songs & Circuits' (distributed by El Diablo in Europe and Northern Star Records in UK) was acclaimed as one of the best albums of 2006 by the rock media in Spain, and CAPSULA one of the hottest bands on stage in the new indie-rock European scene. 'Songs & Circuits' was recorded at Sublime studios in the city of Bilbao during the months of June and July 2006. Mastered by Greg Calbi (Television, Sonic Youth, Bowie) in New York.
In October 2008 Capsula signed with BCore Disc, releasing 'Rising Mountains' in April 2009.
The album 'Rising Mountains' (2009 BCore Disc) and Capsula show in SXSW 2009 were choosen by David Fricke as one of the big surprises of the festival.

Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcastday, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.

Bilbao Kolektibo Elektronikoa presentará en público su tercer CD el día 20 de noviembre. En esta ocasión, hemos querido homenajear el Punk/Rock o "Rock Radical Vasco" de la década de los 80.
Para ello diez grupos de nuestro entorno (Insertbeat, Dr. J, Mimoloco, J. L. Canal, Gose, PlanetaLeta, Lab 7, Dr Pinsapo Vs LaHaine, Backbone y GZK) han realizado versiones electrónicas de temas míticos de aquella época.
Los grupos seleccionados han sido Eskorbuto, Zarama, Cicatriz, Las Vulpes, La polla Records, Delirium Tremens, Hertzainak, Kortatu, Barricada y RIP. Además, en algunas de las canciones hemos tenido la suerte de contar con la colaboración de los cantantes originales. Así, "El Drogas" de Barricada, Roberto Moso de Zarama, Mamen de Las Vulpes y Andoni de Delirium Tremens han tomado parte en el proyecto. ¡Preparaos para escuchar temas que ya son clásicos de una manera completamente nueva!
