Trying to find something to do (easier said then done), music, video games, building computers, playing guitar, drinking, stand-up comedy, driving my car, frisbee and hacky sacs (real men sports). I'm also a pretty avid Xbox modder and like to stick lights in anything I can find. I also like going to local shows and concerts every chance I get, but it seems like there hasn't been many good acts coming around here lately. I really wish we had a better local music scene in Spartanburg sometimes, oh well.
Music
Deftones, Tool, Weezer, STP, Chevelle, Foo Fighters, Filter, CCR, 311, Pearl Jam, Led Zepplin, NOFX, Radiohead, Sublime, Team Sleep, Muse, A Perfect Circle, Poison the Well, Vast, Del the Funky Homosapien, AudioSlave, Machine Head, Hand to Hand, Nine Inch Nails, Steve Miller Band woot!, Nonpoint, the White Stripes, Nirvana, Dick Dale, SOAD, Beastie Boys, Bob Marley, Refused, Fear Factory, The Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones, Guns and Roses, old Metallica, Count Basie, The Pillows, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Glenn Miller, and everything else inbetween.
Movies
Lots of explosions, ass-kicking, subtitles, kung fu, guts and ass everywhere, zombies, anime, philosophical, psychological, funny, sci-fi, space westerns, and such. Stuff like Serenity, Legendary Fist, Kung-fu Hustle, Akira, LOTR, Star Wars, Steamboy, The Godfather, Shawn of the Dead, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spirited Away, Psycho, Last House on the Left, Snake in Eagle's Shadow, Ong-Bak, The Shining, Ace Ventura, Kill Bill, Interview with a Vampire, Dancer in the Dark, Full Metal Jacket, Riding Giants, Six-String Samurai, Ninja Scroll, and O Brother where art Thou.
Television
Somehow I got sucked into the abyss known as anime and have yet to crawl out of it. Currently watching Robot Chickin, Pablo Franciso, Family Guy, Ghost in the Shell, Systm, Naruto, Inuyasha, Initial D, Elfen Lied, Saiyuki, X, Samurai Seven, Beck, Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, and Bleach. I also like those dorky shows on Discovery Channel like American Chopper and Mythbusters. TV has to stimulate my brain somehow right? I guess my favorite would have to be FLCL (Furi Kuri). Its short, but you'll have to watch it many times to understand it.
Books
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance is my favorite, but I also like the Lord of the Ring series, Shunryn Suzuki, Masamune Shirow, and Henry David Thoreau.
About me: Life is more fun now that school is over. I am a website developer here in Spartanburg. I like driving my cars , playing my guitars, tinkering with stuff, and trying to be a good guy. Going out to the bar every once in a while is nice and going out for sushi and sake is even better. I like to spend a lot of time outside when I get the chance. I really like the mountains and going to the lake, even if I can't go often. I try to lead a simple life, even though it can become complicated in the blink of an eye. I've always enjoyed hands-on type stuff, like fixing my car, cooking, building computers, or anything that involves tools.
Also, for anyone interested, this is my homepage:
Who I'd like to meet: Hmmm, anybody I guess. I mean why not? Although I do prefer people with common sense, even if that does narrows down the field a bit.
