About me: Journey through the psyche of Captain Melisande Blue in the award winning Pochinko style clown and bouffon show Party of One. Packed and ready to go, Mel and her baggage find themselves at a train station exiled for loving “a little too much.” This divine ride through Clown and Bouffon features a feisty turnstile, dinner dates with luggage, and a two and a half foot mini version of “Gone with the Wind”. Hailed by Morley Walker of the Winnipeg Free Press as “charmingly crazy,” Party of One received four stars from the Winnipeg Free Press. Melissa Martin of the CBC also awarded Party of One four stars saying Williams “channels comedy and heartbreak with effortless flair.” In it’s United States debut at the 2007 Minnesota Fringe Festival, Star Tribune writer Rohan Preston applauded Party of One as “fearless and fun,” making the Star Tribune’s Critics Pick list. NUVO newspaper in Indianapolis awarded Party of One with four and half stars calling it “imaginative, unique, and incredibly funny.” Party of One recieved five star audience reviews from the San Francisco Fringe Festival in addition to being awarded "Best Clown Show" and "Best Postcard Design" of the 2007 San Francisco Fringe. Check out the award winning design under my pics, and the rave reviews in the blog section!

Who I'd like to meet: You! Party of One has finished it's 2007 International Tour, and will be making it's way to the Rogue Theatre Festival in Fresno, Ca in the spring of 2008. Party of One will also be a part of the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs 2008 Fall Season. Hope to see you there!
Thanks so much for the kid's presents. They love them. We read the books and have been listening to the CD. They are all good. I remember Amelia Bedelia. I loved it too as a kid! I am sure we read it together. Thanks for everything! You're so awesome!!! I love you and miss you so much!
Hi from Jane... well the premiere of "Cupid's Strongest Bow" went really well..now booking up the tour and accompanying workshops in case you know of any takers?? DVD/YouTube out soon. How is your work going?
Hi from Jane... I didn't post this stalker thing?? How bizarre? Sorry about that..maybe we should report it. I am interested in your work though... J xx
Oh, plenty! I won the "Worst Ten Minute Play" award this summer, and it looks like it will be revived in November for a couple of late nights called "Very Very Important Theater" at Live Bait, along with pieces I'm writing about Tom Cruise visiting the Oval Office, the return of slavery, and the Statue of Liberty coming over for Thanksgiving. Also shopping around my first full-length play. Much fun. Hope to see you back in Chicago one of these days!
The application period for the Rogue Festival 2008 is nearly upon us! :-) We open Oct 1st and close Oct 31st. Check out our website at www.roguefestival.com for more details....
LOL... geez this looks like spam... but it isn't! ;-)
I hope you had a great trip back from SF... I loved your show and the people I've told to show to are really hoping you come perform at the Rogue! :-)
We were all so happy to catch your show. And I speak for the entire cast and crew of Barroom Philosophers when I say we are all madly in love with you and want to follow you around the country as your drunken, philosophizing groupies!
Caught your last performance on Party of One in San Francisco... Outstanding! Thank you for inviting us into Captain Mel's world. It was a fantastic voyage!
Hey Mel, I just want you to know that your's is my favorite show at Fringe. Really hit close to home for me... You have an amazing energy! Lori (Barroom Philosophers)
