I've been listening to lots of... The Smiths, Pavement, Urusei Yatsura, McCarthy, Idlewild, Superchunk, The Wedding Present, Horowitz, Blur, Graham Coxon, Hefner, Death Cab for Cutie, Beatnik Filmstars, Sparklehorse, R.E.M, Built to Spill, Manic Street Preachers and of course, much more...
I had a bunch of things for sale in this section but Myspace have decided to disable the links. And they wonder why people have stopped using it.
Ergo, I had to set up a new shop. Please go to captainpolaroid(dot)bigcartel(dot)com for all your retail needs!
Sounds Like

"beautifully, artlessly and wonderfully fucked up with fuzz, wit, violence, youthful indulgence, incompetence and all of the glorious innocence of unaffected creation" (www.unpeeled.co.uk)
"only yesterday I was wondering where all the great lo-fi albums went. Captain Polaroid heard my thoughts and travelled through time to come to the rescue" (www.chartattack.com)

I just read messages we exchanged a couple of years ago which followed much the same format as our recent FD ones (well, just me telling you I bought one of your CDs but never listened to it, but still)...we are clearly Ships In The Night. Or something.
I did go and see Simon Amstell. Did you? Are you on Facebook? I tend to use that more than Myspace now. I only pop onto Myspace now and again.... I am forced to respond on Facebook because you get e-mails telling you. I am a simple creature who is easily controlled by Mr Facebooks.
The live CD is absolutely amazing! Maybe I am a tad biased? But all the old stuff and other rarities. None of your major big hitters. A definite for R.E.M. fans, for sure :)
I've not forgotten about the Filthy feature - just getting reviews out the way, I'll start on it over the weekend. D'you know if there are any up-coming releases going on? Might be an idea to review them alongside whatever else I compile...
Kind of CP, my backing band is called The Sea so we just played as Houdie and The Sea but i might just call the whole thing The Sea as its easier really and kill off the houdie bit ;o)
yea. there's nothing exciting. i've been doing a 365 project and uploading them so there is a lot of rubbish. and a lot of photos of my flat. i'm going to sleep now, night x
parcel! no, sadly not! i actually looked for it this morn but our postman is an ASS i am not joking, and can't comprehend that i now live in flat 2/3 and TWICE i have found my mail sitting on the window ledge, and once under someone's bike. (!) (no really. thank goodness i'm nosy...i looked at it thinking. wow thats a nice postcard, is it wrong to read someone else' postcard? i decided it wasn't cos no one writes anything personal on a postcard right? AND IT WAS ADDRESSED TO ME!) plus one of my friends got the thing she sent me posted back. so i'm going to leave a note on the door woo. xxx
just checked out your last.fm profile, I've got to start using that site more. I wont be giving up on myspace though :) its too pretty... Thanks for checking out my tees!
hows the album doing since we last spoke friendo, i got some songs together that im pretty pleased with, just need to get them right, my mind keeps jamming up and i shake and fizz, sure they will come out when there ready. smiley faces
oh thanks captain! i've heard of the rumor but didn't realise the track had been available. just checked the track and the video as well. Paul's voice sounds awesome and the track itself sounds brilliant! thanks again! you made my day!
