Capture The Flag are a punk ska act based in Leicester, formed in early 2008 from the ashes of other local bands. They immediately began writing and recording what would be their debut E.P 'Conflicts', this was then released at their first show at The Charlotte in Leicester to a packed out crowd. They quickly gained a large, lively fanbase locally, around the UK and across the shores; following this they played many shows around the UK, spreading their energetic vibes to the nation, and playing with well established acts such as Bad Manners, Deaf Havana and Babar Luck.
Currently writing stronger, dancier and jazzier material for their next release, they will be returning to the studio with Jamie Ward. So, expect new recordings up in soon.
We're currently looking for shows in 2009, especially during the summer and we are always interested in playing parties, providing our own sound equipment if necessary (P.A etc). If you can please make all booking enquiries through our myspace, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. However an e-mail on talktocapturetheflag@live.co.uk would be appreciated if contact through myspace is unavailable.

"The exuberantly energetic Capture The Flag, who came across as an underage Pete Doherty/Gallows hybrid made the most of large audiences to prove they deserve to be playing further afield sooner rather than later." - musicOMH.com "Capture The Flag are actually mental!"- MAP HFM "Featuring Nik Young on the Trumpet and Matt Horton on the Trombone, the band worked their way through some big, brassy punk ska songs, occasionally iced with reggae beats and a bit of rap vocals...CTF put on an exhilarating set which was enjoyable and entertaining...CTF is a band that could well see the top of the ladder over the year ahead. - artsinleicestershire.co.uk 'Good set by Leicester's Capture the Flag, a band that is going from stength to strength. Have really warmed to their song "Stickers on the Car", the recording of it on their Myspace is awesome. It's the brass section that brings it all to life, with Nik on trumpet and Matt on Trombone, including some good vocals from two or more band members, this adds up to a fullsome and vibrant sound to brace their punchy rock songs. They have moved away from being a band that just does Ska to one that is developing its own sound of more agressive and exciting rock. An impressive set of songs from a band that is really putting some effort into getting somewhere - so well done guys! It's all good and let's see you get your stuff out there.' - artsinleicestershire.co.uk
