Positive Vibration Reggae Band was formed in 1981 by jamacain veteran hit-maker Carl Malcolm. His popularity began in 1974 with his first hit "No Jestering", which became No.1 on the Ja, Top Ten, and stayed on the charts for seventeen weeks. it was also a major hit in the United States, Africa, Europe, & The Carribean. Shortly after Carl landed another major hit called "Miss Wire Waist". He was by then roll, so then came the 3 million seller entitled "Fattie Bum Bum". This record produced by (Randys Records now known as V.P. records and Queens N.Y.) entered the British Charts at No.13, then moved up to No.3 in 7 weeks. Touring through various states in the U.S., Virgin Island, Europe, Bahamas, and other Carribean Island up to date Carl has over (100 songs). Some can be heard from CD's entitle "New Born" and, You Are Not Alone", and on his first album called "Carl Malcolm Tonight." Carl's songs, No jestering had been covered by International Stars, like Bette Midler doing "No jestering"on her album called songs for Songs For New Depression. Fattie Boom Boom corvered by Balford Linsly in Canada, Byron Lee in Jamica, Mustakit in Finland, Lloyd Hemmings in Jamaica, Al Brown doing Up From The Ghetto",and Aneeta Malcolm who is Carl Malcolm wife and she also the drummer and volcalst in Positive vibration doing "Grass is Greener". Wire Waist also covered by Byron Lee, Scotty, and Owen Grey, tomention a few. Carl had appeared with Jimmy Cliff, Bob Marley,Shaggy, Third World,Dennis Brown, Maxi Priest, Taxi Gang, Inner Cicle, and many of the top Reggae Artists. Carl as a Producer, has produced two Cd's mentioned above. Also produced, plus several singles for various singers. Hs lastest single is called Muck Up, which means it takes a friend to mess up a friend. Its hot!!!!!!
